CARLO COZZOLI

Carlo Cozzoli, an Italian photographer born in Milan in 1993, began his professional career in 2014. From the outset, his interest has focused on themes of strong social and political impact, with particular attention to conflict situations. Over the years, he has collaborated with various agencies, honing his ability to tell delicate stories, such as those related to mental health, through the language of photography. In 2019, he joined the international press agency LaPresse, consolidating his experience in photojournalism. Subsequently, during the Covid-19 pandemic, his work was widely recognized and awarded. Since 2023, Carlo Cozzoli is the co-founder of Memora, a collective of photographers committed to documenting contemporary history through photographs and reportages that feature people and the world around us. In 2024, he had the opportunity to document the civil war in Myanmar, one of the most inaccessible places on the planet, following the stories of young Burmese people fighting against the military dictatorship. Previously, he documented the conflict in Ukraine, collaborating with prestigious international publications such as the Wall Street Journal, La Stampa, l'Espresso, Life Gate, La Repubblica, Die Zenit, and Sky News. Carlo Cozzoli distinguishes himself by his ability to narrate conflicts through individual stories, always placing the human being at the center of his work. In Italy, through "Memora," he continues his photographic research, creating exhibitions and projects aimed at disseminating photography.
